Healthy Lifestyles Overview
Building Healthy Habits
At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana, we want to teach kids and teens how to live healthier. Our programs focus on helping kids eat a more balanced diet, become more physically fit, and engage in healthy relationships. We hope to build healthy habits now that will last a lifetime.
Kids Face Challenges Every Day
When it comes to healthy habits, many kids in Louisiana are struggling. Often, they do not have access to healthy food and safe spaces to get active. Louisiana ranks 5th in the nation for the prevalence of overweight children. Our state also faces high rates of teen pregnancy, violence, and physical inactivity.
